NGD Camps Primera Negra A
Absolutely love this guitar, it inspires me to play with dynamics and colour, nothing with steel strings had that effect on me.
The neck is really comfortable, not really thick like most Spanish guitars; I can still thumb wrap (see video). I'm also really enjoying the flat fretboard.

For some reason, the video doesn't work for me, but I'm quite eager to hear the guitar

Thanks.
It sounds lovely as does your playing. Are you using the Thomastik John Pearse Folk strings? |

I have the Thomastik strings on my crossover. The tone of my new flamenco guitar is so nice with the carbons and has such a nice depth to it that I'm leaving them on. Maybe I'll experiment later. I've never really had a guitar like this, after spending my time playing acoustics. It's like the guitar invites me to do more things with the tone, play with dynamics and vibrato. Compared to the Blanca in the shop, this guitar had much more bass presence and the trebles are more rounded and feel like they have more "depth" (or less dry). I liked the Blanca, it had a punchy tone in the trebles that sounded good. I didn't notice the relatively less bass until I picked up the Negra. I went for the Negra as I thought it was the most versatile of the two, considering I play a range of whatever I'm interested in at the moment. I also wanted a guitar with more bass than my crossover, which excels in the trebles but not in the bass. I might make a recording of another Fahey song tomorrow.

Very nice playing and a great sounding guitar you have there!
Personally... I prefer flamencos (blanca or negra) to classicals or steel strings no matter what music I'm playing these days. I just find the lightly-built tops to have the kind of "knife-edge" response that I prefer. I can dig-in and play hard if I want to "overdrive" the sound and add that snap and sizzle, or I can back off and play very delicately and the guitars respond by giving me sweet, mellow, somber tones. I just like the massive range of dynamics and touch-sensitivity that flamencos provide over all of the nice classicals that I've owned or played. Granted, I haven't played a world class luthier-built classical... so those are likely a different story. But in the sub-$3-4K price market, I find that classicals are too overbuilt for my personal tastes. Doesn't meant that I haven't had $2Kish classicals that weren't great guitars (because I have and they were). But I felt that I had to work harder to get what I want out of them than I do my flamencos.
