Only as a very general rule of thumb and all else being equal.
Open back HP are noted to have a bit less resonance issues and are a very popular choice for mixing

Check out mastering engineer Bob Katz' headphone reviews. I bought the Oppos that he recommends and all of a sudden mixing has become a LOT easier. Truly amazing headphones.

If you're doing things soup-to-nuts at home, you really owe it to yourself to have two different kinds of cans. One pair that's good for mixing and critical listening like Al describes, and another pair for vocals that's very open, so it's easier to hear pitch.
