Thanks NewPicker and Chaddywack,
Yeah I'm bummed I can't, would love to get it in your hands Nate. Normally I may take the risk but after having it sent back by customs I'm nervous about these new rosewood laws. I've had four people across the border wanting to buy it now! |

Where in Ontario?
So why not drive 1 or 2 or 3 hours to Detroit, Niagra or your closest border town? I drove hours from home to buy my McAlister. Ask me if it was worth it?!

Just saw your two posts! I'm a couple hours from the Detroit border, I don't have time to make the round trip at this point, but anyone who wants to is very welcome to come pick it up! I'd give a discount as it would save PP and shipping fees.

Made in the USA
It does not make sense that a guitar made in the USA cannot be returned to the country of origin, under the customs laws of any nation.
Yeah, sure it's 2 hours for you. For most of us in the US it would mean a flight to Detroit, rent a car and then 3 hours from the airport! Then that becomes one expensive RT! GLWS |

Would you mind elaborating on these customs issues? It would be interesting to know if customs are really enforcing the CITES laws now and inspecting guitars and catching Rosewood guitars. You mention it being shipped back to you - by the US side? So they're not confiscating the guitars?

Thanks for asking Authentic - to be honest it is still a bit of a mystery to me.
I shipped this through USPS to a US buyer and it was held in customs for 30 days in Chicago. We called USPS to ask and they said they had no control over customs issues. The day after we called it appeared to clear customs, but then was sent to San Francisco (I live in Ontario and the buyer was close by in Ohio, so this seemed strange). Then it was sent back to me with no paperwork, no indications of being inspected, and no extra charges. The label with the Ohio address had been scribbled over saying return to sender. I'm going to call USPS again to see if I can figure out what happened, but it was enough to give me a scare... perhaps a customs worker was sympathetic and didn't want to see such a beauty get destroyed? Doubtful but who knows! |

I need more money!
Ok.....perhaps I'm a little compulsive, but I want this one too! Come on guys/gals, everybody knows someone in Canada eh! Buy it and send it over there and go pick it up. Good reason for a vacation.

Is it possible to ship USPS (United States Postal Service) from Canada!

Yep, Canada Post and USPS work in conjunction, ends up being the best way to avoid brokerage fees.
