1979 Martin M-36/0000 with LR Baggs Undersaddle Pickup

This Martin M-36/0000 is a wonderful player's guitar with some honest wear and plenty of mojo. The M-36 has the same large body as a jumbo, but with the slimmer 4" depth of an O/OO/OOO. This instrument was built in 1979, the second year of model production. It has been played quite a bit yet has been handled fairly gently. Condition is good to very good, with a few nicks and bruises but nothing very visible. The soundboard has aged beautifully for 38 years, and there is moderate finish crazing. The 3-piece rosewood back is in great shape with very attractive contrasting wood and no buckle rash. History of work that I am aware of: 1) A headstock crack was solidly repaired in the 1980s. Barely visible now and appears solid as a rock. 2) The neck was reset about five years according to the previous owner. 3) Frets were replaced. Current frets are slightly chunkier than standard, and have plenty of life left. 4) LR Baggs active under-saddle pickup added, with sound hole controls for volume and tone. The action is medium-low and this guitar plays like buttah. A very articulate a clean voicing, with great balance across the spectrum on tones. Not boomy like some dreads can be. Neck width is 1 11/16" at the nut. I would call the neck shape a modified V. This is not a collectors' piece but a solid journeyman Martin that has plenty of playing left in it. $1600 plus $65 shipping via Paypal or other secure method. Update: PHOTOS ADDED BELOW...
