I don't know enough to do a search. i have a new to me acoustic electric being delivered today. I want to play a few cords, and then when they play back, play my "lead' along . this is just purely practice for me . What is this piece of equipment called?

A looper.
Look for a 2-button model (like the Ditto X2), much eaiser in use than a single-button model.
