Default Nashville Guitar Shops

Are there any music stores in Nashville? Ha! Ha! Just kidding.

We are planning a trip there in March and I would like to check out a couple of shops while I'm there. What would you say are the two best?

Yep, those 2 and Artisan Guitars in Franklin are the ones not to miss.

Yep, my favorite and most frequented shop, ArtisanGuitars, in Franklin, at The Factory. Just head down Franklin Road towards Franklin, You'll hit the lighted intersection of Franklin Rd and Liberty Pike, hang a left then hang another left in the parking lot. You're at The Factory shopping center! Artisan is down on the left, about half way down. If you can't find it just ask someone. Us Southerners are pretty friendly! Tell Bill and Ellie I said hey! In fact, I'm picking up a guitar there probably this weekend!

Yes, the stores mentioned. Depending on the dates you have planned in March, there is an upcoming guitar show at the factory in Franklin on March 24-25. I am planning to be there.

Lots of great suggestions here. Carter's is great - amazing vintage and used selection and super friendly folks. If I could only go to one shop while in town it would be Carter's.

Another worth mentioning is Cotton Music. Super friendly folks as well. They usually have a nice selection of Collings.

For great used and vintage finds also consider 2nd Gear. Selection is more heard toward electrics but it's like the equivalent of a guitar gear garage sale with quality stuff.

If you're on the hunt for a vintage Martin or Gibson Gruhn and Carter are a must. Pretty close to each other too on 8th Avenue South. But they have so much more to boot...and of course Artisan Guitars in Franklin.

Carter, Gruhn and Cotten in town: but, if you can, take the 20 minute drive to Artisan in Franklin for a room full of great Collings along with fine selections of Santa Cruz and Huss & Dalton. (And, if electrics interest you: Collings and Fender Custom shop.)

I like all those, they're great shops.

I also like Corner Music a lot. In a cool part of town and loaded with guitars and cool pedals.

Thanks very much for those suggestions. I'll have my wife with me so I'll only get to two at the most but the Amigo Guitar show looks very interesting too and I'll be there about that time.

Default DON'T FORGET..

Don't forget Rumble Seat is now in Nashville...between Gruhn's and Carter's...AND...it would not hurt to stop at the Guitar Center on the south side of Nashville...usually have some interesting used stuff...This will take all day....maybe more!!!!

You are super spoiled for choice in Nashville. Another one to think about is Guitar Gallery - https://www.guitargal.com/collections/guitars

I bought a sublime preowned Goodall from them some years back. Really great way to try guitars in a relaxed and quiet environment.

...and don't forget to ask to see the second (and maybe the third) floor at Gruhn's.

Yeah...if George isn't too busy maybe he'll give you the grand tour? I was introduced to him and was asking some questions about his Martin's in stock and he asks me if I want to see his operation? Of course I said yes and he spent about 2 hours showing me and a friend around Gruhn Guitars...all of it!

My two favorites are Cotton Music and Artisan Guitars in Franklin.

Have fun!
