NGD - Taylor GS Mini
Hey. Its been a while since I've been here. Work and other projects keeping me busy. Haven't played guitar much either
Anyway, this past summer we bought a boat and spent some nights on it at the Marina. I wasn't going to bring my good guitar, and my beater dreadnaught seemed just too big. So I have been half hearted looking for travel type guitar. I came across a Taylor GS Mini one in the local music store and played it some. It played well and had a nice sound. A bit bright compared to larger guitars I own. But price was right and so it came home with me. I'll have to read up on how to post pictures again. BTW, this one finally got me in trouble with the misses. So one of the herd is going to be up for sale soon. Maybe. Last edited by Roady68; 01-18-2018 at 11:10 AM. Reason: Added picture |

Congratulations with the GS mini, my gf has one and it is the Koa wood version. Sound is great for such a small guitar. It has Martin strings phosfor bronze...so Taylor and Martin team up well.

Label says mahogany. Though its lighter in color than my Martin mahogany. No electronics. I simply wanted a guitar I could pick up and bring with my to the boat, friends house, camping.

Congrats! GS mini is an excellent choice at a great price point. I bought one a month or so ago thinking it would be my new boat guitar and haven't played anything else at home. It's so comfortable and sounds great. Haven't played it out yet but am thinking it would be fun!
P S when my wife saw the invoice she didn't flinch as it's the cheapest guitar I have purchased in a decade. |
