Do you compose your own music? I find that so much easier to play [from memory]. I can easily play 3 hrs of my own stuff, but other peoples stuff (which I also do) out come the sheets .... it's tough to internalize new stuff when getting older for sure.
Probably due to the fact that when I'm composing/making stuff up ... I'll play it 100 times in the process .... so it gets naturally 'burned in' LOL
