Default Can't Get Bass Strings To Hold Tune?

Hi, I'm new at playing classical guitar and just got my first guitar, a nice Hofner, last week. Yesterday i changed the 6th, 5th and 4th strings and they will not stay in tune. I tied the looser would end to the bridge with two loops and pushed the string through the capstan and under itself. Did I do something very wrong? How long does it take for new strings to hold tune because every time i pick up my guitar (quite often) they've dropped whole semitones.

Nylon takes a few days to stretch out, seems like weeks sometimes, (maybe so).

This is pretty normal. New nylon strings take a while to settle in on a classical guitar. You will need to tune up several times before they become more stable. Usually the non-wound strings (1-2-3) take a bit longer than the wound bass strings (4-5-6). Fewer wraps around the tuner helps, and just make sure the string crosses over the end on the first wrap.

This sounds normal, but keep one tip in mind for the future: When you put new strings on, pull them tight as you attach them to the rollers. With steel strings, you usually leave a little slack. With nylons, leave NO slack. Pull them tight. As the strings stretch, the ENTIRE length of the string must stretch, including the part wrapped around the rollers. The less string you have there, the sooner the strings will finish stretching and stay in tune.

Cool Bass string won't hold pitch

You can speed up the time it takes for your strings to "settle" by gently hand stretching with your thumb and fingers.
