Beware Newegg
I've been a Newegg customer since they started (I did a lot of IT work during the first decade of my career).
I logged on a bit ago and ordered a dash cam (thanks to a compelling post here on AGF). Well it was strange - it hadn't come, then I looked and the tracking number is invalid, then I look closer and find it's not actually sold by newegg. They advertise the products and take your money but they are just a front for shady third-party sellers. Their customer service is abysmal now - I was number 67 in the queue.

Contest the charge on your credit card (you probably already knew that, though).
It's rare I look anywhere but Amazon these days for online purchases. They'll go out of their way to make things right, even if you buy from a 3rd party seller (they'll mediate disputes). Glad to hear you're getting a dash cam (well, trying to get one). They are fairly cheap insurance and peace-of-mind. |

Is third party sourcing new to Newegg? I believe they've done it for awhile.

I think they first invited me to sell third party 8 years ago. I declined. But it has been a hybrid third party marketplace for a while.
