SOLD. Osthoff Jumbo for a CF Travel Guitar
Hi Folks,
I never thought that I'd be parting with this particular guitar, but some life circumstances have changed and I'm looking to move into a CF smaller bodied instrument (number of guitars has officially been capped ...ugh) For Trade is an amazing acoustic electric John Osthoff Jumbo. She has Koa back and sides, and a Sitka top. There is a passive LR Baggs pickup installed. I plugged her in and it is functioning, but I can't speak to the electronics, (I'm almost solely and acoustic player). If you were to request John Osthoff to build a similar Jumbo today the cost would be almost $6,000. The guitar has a lot of player wear and is discussed in an earlier AGF thread here: http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f.../t-157902.html and some pics: https://goo.gl/photos/WnX8498J9d2FpwMz6 I've updated the photos to include two walk arounds. The Osthoff comes with a hard shell case. It was originally owned by a professional musician. As such it shows pick marks, belt buckle rash and it's share of assorted dings from a life on the road. There are cracks on the soundboard which were addressed (see the above referenced AGF posting for further information. Nut is 1 and 3/4 String spacing is 2 and 3/16 at the bridge. Particularly I'm seeking, (but not limited to): Emerald X7/x7-OS CA Cargo Blackbird Rider or poss Lucky 13 I'm not overly concerned about appearance, but of course...it does impact trade value. Let me know what you have, what you want, what your thoughts are and we can go from there. I'm happy to answer any questions, take any requested photos. Don't hesitate to PM. New England area would be great (easier to meet up and make a personal assessment of the instruments(...and possibly share a frosty beverage)) I'm giving a (I think a VERY reasonable) trade value of $SOLD$. I'm also open to purchase offers. Regards, Mike B Last edited by MikeyBWindsurfe; 07-28-2016 at 05:16 PM. |

Hi Stevien,
Thanks for asking. The nut is 1 3/4. The string spacing is 2 3/16 at the bridge. I'll update the ad to reflect that. M |
