Default Cordoba Fushion 12 Maple vs the Cordoba GK Studio

Can anyone give a hands on comparison of these two models?

I can only give you one side of the pair...
I have the Fusion 12 maple. Great little guitar. I like everything about it..
except for the neck angle. THIS IS NOT a problem with the guitar. It's
the perfect neck set for a classical guitar.
This is just my preference for a ridiculous low action.
I considered the GK Negra which has a flamenco style neck angle I believe.

In addition I went with the Fusion 12 Maple because I wanted the 48mm
neck vs the 50mm on the GK. Also the Fusion 12 has a 640mm scale
length vs 650mm on the GK. Net result is a very playable guitar that has an intimate feel.

The Fusion 12 also has a deeper body and since I wanted it for a lot of unplugged playing it seemed to be the better choice. Very pleased with it.

Can't say much about the fusion maple but the Cordoba GK Studio Negra is one of my favorite classical guitars ever if you want a swiss army knife with nylons. It sounded great both strummed and for fingerstyle. I've the played the comparable Kremona Rosa Morena and it was better for solely fingerstyle if you have longer fingers due to the huge nut width. Both guitars were equally rich with the Kremona having slightly more bass. Terrible for strumming though.

The GK Negra you could literally play anything on and it sounded good (except the electronics seemed to suffer a bit of UST quack). The standard GK in sycamore had less overtones as I recall. The necks on the GK series is my favorite feeling neck ever. I bought a 55FCE only to be disappointed that the thickness was more akin to an actual classical neck. The 55FCE though I felt had sweeter trebles but less bass. Its has an amazing, distinct tone all on its own but at twice the price.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your responses. It seems that both are very good in some areas and less in others. Maybe that is the way of all guitars. Anyway, it seems that one can't go too far wrong with Cordoba. Quality instruments at affordable prices. Blessings, arktrav
