If anyone from this forum comes, please introduce yourself! If you can't make it tonight, next one will be in 2 weeks, April 23.

Excellent, thanks for asking! No self-identified AGF members, though.
11 players (plus me), so anyone who wanted to got a second round of 2 songs (3 the first time) - a decent turnout for first time. I did 5 songs to open (because none of the early birds were ready to go up) and finished with 5 quick songs No 'clunkers', although a couple of beginners (on guitar) with good voices played. The house soundman said he was going to show up to show me how to connect to their PA speakers (he was insisting I use the massive subs they have), but he was an expected no-show, so I just plugged from my mixer into the house main speakers which were excellent for acoustic guitar. had one bass player (with wife on acoustic) and one keyboard player, and it all sounded good - except for one guy whose battery failed leaving him with very distorted sound until he switched it. The venue was happy with the turnout, I'll be doing another tryout in 2 weeks, then they'll make the decision on continuing or not - at full pay, not the 1/2 price deal I gave them for tryouts. I'm told that the last person to try the OM there did no promotion, so got no one showing up. Next time I'm expecting a number of people who couldn't make it last night.
