Purchased new from Dream Guitars in late 2013.
Tonally this guitar is very responsive...has a balanced tone with a good helping of overtones. I will also note it is very opened up as it has a fair amount of play and has approx 150 hrs of tone rite time that really opened up the bass. For a smaller bodied guitar this has good bass. It is a complex tone and sounds similar to olsons i have heard. Clear, open, with a nice ring to it.

Agreed. I've never seen an Applegate priced this low. Someone is going to get the deal of the century!

Tone rite time = time i ran a tonerite 3g on it to open up the tone. Improved bass and overall volume quite a bit

So this FS is a 12 fret, per Brian's spec? It doesn't look like one - looks like a 14f based on the bridge placement.

It is a 14 fret. The Dream Guitars link specs it as such. I also agree with your bridge placement analysis. If you check on the Applegate site, it says in the last sentence of the FS description that it is available with the 14 fret option.

This is a beautiful guitar at a great price. I wish I could move on it. I have had my eye on this one and the SJ that just sold.
