SOLD....2017 Preston Thompson D-MA
SOLD....Selling an almost new Preston Thompson D-MA Adirondack / Mahogany
dreadnought that really captures the vintage feel and sound. I wanted to love it but the vintage string spacing give my right hand attack a hard time. 1 3/4" nut width. Waverlys, gorgeous faded sunburst . $4500 net to me . Last edited by TBar1956; 03-20-2018 at 03:31 PM. |

My D-MA is the best D-18 style guitar I've ever owned or played. GLWS

Great looking guitar! I have a new D-CMA (Cuban Mahogany, had less than 2 months) and I feel your pain on the vintage spacing. I wasn't sure and a little frustrated at first, and I have two other guitars with the same or similar specs. I did have a setup done and it made a big difference for me. There were a couple of issues with the neck/frets/setup when I got it (nothing major), which is pretty much unheard of for his guitars. Preston and his staff are very easy to work with and are very willing to help - most appreciated. The more I have played it the less I notice the initial issues I had with the spacing.
Preston and his staff make a truly great guitar. GLWS! |
