Default Epiphone Dobro Hound Dog Deluxe Roundneck Resonator

SOLD.

Serial #1212123815. Purchased new in 1/14.
Flattop Roundneck Resonator Guitar.
14 3/8” wide. 3½” deep.
Laminated flame Maple top, sides, and back. Satin finish.
One-piece Mahogany 12-fret neck with 12” radius.
Rosewood fretboard with dot inlays (1 11/16” nut width and 25” scale).
Nickel plated Dobro single cone resonator, fan cover plate (10.5”), and tailpiece.
Spider bridge with Ebony saddle atop a Maple base.
Tusq nut.
Laminate Maple peghead veneer with “DOBRO” decal.
Black full body binding.
Chrome Grover tuners.
Fishman Resonator passive pickup.
Hardshell Epiphone case.

I bought this guitar last January to try my (left) hand at slide playing. My hand, unfortunately, lacks talent in this area and refuses to cooperate. Although I considered removal of the offending appendage, I decided I wanted to keep it for my normal guitar playing requirements. Thus, this one's for sale. (The guitar, not the left hand.)

The guitar is in mint condition, with no cosmetic issues or fret wear of any kind. The action is set at medium height, so that one can play with fingers or pick, in addition to using a slide if your left hand is not as ill-mannered as mine. The tone is definitely in the desired mid-rangy, barky Dobro style. It has a built-in Fishman pickup, too, if you'd like to scare your neighbors. I know I did.

Here are links to a few websites for more information. Please note that a hardshell case is not included when buying this guitar new, but I did buy an Epiphone hardshell case and it's included in my price.

Asking $SOLD shipped in the continental USA if paid by check. (Currently, this guitar sells for $549 at most online sites, plus $80 or so for the case.)

Please respond to [email protected] with questions, or to request the high resolution pictures shown below as email attachments. I can also send a short sound clip if desired, but I doubt that you want to hear me play this thing.

No trade offers, please - - I need the cash to buy talent.
