Not sure how clear it is. I have never used it with something transparent.
Here is a link to the manufacturer. I see that the regular Barge cement doesn't list non porous materials, but their Super Bond™ Fast-Dry TF Cement lists metal & glass. Just sayin'.

If you do bugyeyed's method then you may want to look into 3M double stick tape sheets. You can get it from Stew Mac and it's used to adhere pick guards. It's super strong stuff and I have no doubt it would work as long as the whole area is dead flat (since the stone will not bend). Problem is that over time distortion around the sound hole is typical, usually after many many years but still, the stone will not conform to the distortion of the top. I'd make a strong A-Frame brace design.

tons of alternative materials. some of them might even allow your guitar tops to flex a bit better rather then natural stone

Well, I have decided to give my stone rosette a try. But, these examples may open up some ideas for future builds. Thanks for posting the link.
