Default Nails and nylon strings

I play steel string acoustic finger style and use liquid gel fingernails that I have done at the nail salon. I want to start working on a classical nylon string guitar. Will the strings be able to handle these nails. They are not sharp and I keep them filed and polished smooth. Does anyone out there use salon nails on nylon strings?

I don't, but it isn't uncommon. They won't damage the strings.
