Premiere of the New Series "Knightfall"
The series begins in 1291 with the Siege of Acre and the loss of the Grail in the evacuation. We then move to Paris 15 years later and follow the action of a Templar Knight, Landry. Landry becomes head of the Templars when his mentor Godfrey passes him his sword with a cryptic message.
Well acted, good sets and imagery. Looks like it will be a very entertaining story. Surprised to see it was produced by Jeremy Renner, not the kind of story I associate him with. Worth checking out. On History Channel Wednedays at 10pm. |

I saw the first episode and thought it was pretty good. Looking forward to the next one.

I saw the trailers... I admit I’m rather geeky about medieval weapons, armor, and the like, and I saw a bunch of guys running around in full armor and mail but no helmets...
Bit of a turn-off. I might give it a try. |

There is a scene in the episode where the camera view is from inside a slit visor helmet. You get a real sense of how limited the visibility might have been when fighting in a sizable battle. It gave protection but prevented you from seeing the threat.
