Audio To Sell a Guitar
I'm looking for a method, in a reasonable price range to record a quality acoustic guitar audio for the sole purpose of selling the guitar.
i believe if people heard the actual guitar it would greatly improve the chance to sell the guitar. thx |

Call every "real" recording studio in your area, explain what you're after, get the best deal you can on the minimum amount of time they'll sell you, and go record your guitar.
As a one-off, this will get you way more for way less money than anything you try to do yourself. And by "real" I mean a place with a well-treated recording space. Not ProTools in a bedroom. |

Many will probably point you toward something like this:

Even though I literally have "Pro Tools in a Bedroom"
I would tend to agree with Brent, for a one off sale, find a pro studio and see if you can book 15 mins. or a 1/2 hour (or even an hour if that is their minimum) to record three or four short musical riffs . And by short for the purpose of selling I mean 15 to 20 seconds max .... Do not do a whole tune which in my opinion will defeat the intended purpose of "sales"

By the time you buy everything you need and spend time getting comfortable getting a good recording and doing a basic mix, you will have spent way more than buying a couple hours of studio time in a smaller commercial studio. The total spend is less than a decent interface. And the the benefits of having a pro engineer record & mix, along with access to microphones you'd never buy for a one-off project (like U87s, U67s & ELA M 251s) is huge. You'd even spend more just renting the equipment for a day. Call around to local, smaller commercial studios. They often have flat rate offers for these quick projects.
