Default Getting Ready

This is a real pretty Michael Kiwanuka song called Getting Ready.

An Eastman E10SS recorded using an iPad and an Apogee MiC and imported into Garageband. Second harmony/shaker track added, as well as a harmonica.

Sal I think that is one of the best recordings I have heard from you. But I don't care for the digital harmony. Your guitar sounds fab and I love your strumming style on this, with your fingers. Cool! Great vocal, you sound great on this. I love the song, too, and have never heard it. You should make a cd sometime. You have much talent. You can email somebody a track and they could put a harmony on it. I used to use digital harmony but I got away from it. Of course, I love human harmony. Not casting stones, just an observation. Don't shoot me!

Well done!

Thank you both!

Bill... It is my actual voice on the harmony - not digital. I played that second track with the shakers and sang the harmony

It is real easy to go back an re-record a new track there... I'll practice the harmony more first, so great tip!

Cheers gents.

Sal,

I didn't hear anything in your harmony that sounded electronic, so I am not sure what Bill was reacting to. Actually, I thought your harmony was right on pitch, which is not easy to do at our age. Maybe that's what Bill was hearing... You were right on pitch, so it must have been computer generated!!

From my perspective, I wouldn't do the harmony voice again -- I thought it was great just like you recorded it.
