Don't be, wont make you happy...but it IS worth skipping a new car purchase if you LOVE guitar tone...a tone all its own, not trying to be any other kind of guitar...it really can sing a melody

My 2012 Santa Cruz D/PW. So forgiving to play, it practically plays itself:

Liking that top a lot. So many drool-worthy guitars here. Sheesh.

I waited 35 years to find THE one Martin that I had to pull the trigger on. A 1972 D-35 (soft v neck...does that make it a D-35v?). It can do pretty much everything. I can pound on it and it just keeps on giving and roars. I can fingerpick and is sweet and gentle and still projects well. It feels awesome in my hands. The bridge was filled and the saddle was replaced by a split saddle for intonation. Can't tell by looking that it didn't come that way.

I pick up one of these most often, whichever is close. Fun around the house, but

I'd have to say my John How ladder braced concert is "the one" though, really fantastic guitar for it's diminutive size.

I don't have a favorite, but I'll post the pic of my Carmel Guitar co OM, Sinker over Bloodwood. It's the one i am playing the most right now (outside of my nylons that I gig with)

I "go to" all my guitars pretty equally and enjoy them all for different reasons. For the last few weeks I'm really enjoying having my Charis dread back after an extended vacation in California. I missed it so bad I had to have it back.

It's the loudest, boldest instrument I've ever owned......my lifelong buddy who plays a really loud Martin acoustic bass called it "Hoss".......it was the only acoustic that could keep up with his Martin (and his playing style)
