Back in about 2006, I went into my local GC and asked if they had any Resonator string sets (John Pearse and GHS have a few a nice mix/range of sizes). The clerks response? "We got no resonator strings, only guitar strings." Spoken with a condescending look on his face...then I overhear the counterman next to him telling another (obviously new player) customer that "A good guitar tech can tune a guitar and have all the tuners lined up the same way."
That was my last trip to GC.
