Default Really Great Deal on Fender Telecaster

I want to pass along a really great deal, at least in my experience. I just bought a new Fender Standard Telecaster for $425, with free shipping. Cannot beat that price.

I got it on Reverb. Search for Fender Telecaster, and look for B-stock, set the max price at $500, and also add accepts offers. Music 123 has them for $479. I offered $425 and it was accepted.

Here's the thing. This guitar was in perfect shape. Brand new, sealed in the box, with the metal clips on the box still intact. Not a mark on it, absolutely nothing wrong. It's brand new. It's a steal at that price.

Here's another link to the Music 123 shop https://reverb.com/shop/music123?pro...ng_type=offers

Sounds like you got a good deal, the only Tele showing under $500 now at the Music123 Reverb page is a 'slightly scuffed' used version for $479. New Standard Teles are $599, but you can always get 10-15% off that with a GC sale coupon.

I offered $400, they accepted $425. It's says in the description b stock, slightly scuffed. It's not. It's brand new. Also, 30 days to return if you want.

Congratulations!

I've always had great luck with B-stock guitars. My Godin Kingpin II is B-stock, and for the life of me I cannot find a thing wrong with it in fit or finish.

Sorry I apparently didn’t read every word from the original post. Box still sealed. Probably just want to sell them below MSRP

Sounds like a great deal. Did you make your offer online at Music123 by asking a question on the Tele?

Another observation. There seems to be a ton of “good“ condition guitars all without any details about the condition, all for the same price. Wondering if these are also going to be new or like new. For example, there are a ton of seafoam telecaster HH models for $383. I wonder if saying “good“ is their way of justifying selling even cheaper, because they have too many of a less desirable model.

No, its original. I ran the serial number on the fender site.

Typically I would be thinking “if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.”

But the sheer number of identical products for the same price lets me be pretty confident this is an inventory unloading. I think what sealed it for me is The number of “good“ listings for the same price, and they are things that aren’t the most popular, but of course still great guitars. Another example, several of the deluxe standard Stratocasters are listed as “good“ my guess is their $799 MSRP is an iffy place in the market because you aren’t that far from an American standard at that price. i
