One word for this one.......CHILLS!!

The chorus is delivered with fervor and such authenticity, Glenn.........and the end......you're looking down as you finish and completing a solemn moment from this beautiful and spiritual song.

thanks for putting this one out there.....it does seem as though it might be a special one for you too!
Hi Fred,

Thanks so much for your comments and for listening!

On the high seas! Man, that sounds like a good name for a song!

Regarding "Hallelujah" and the emotion built into it, I don't know why, but I just seem to get pulled into the music and the song and whatever feelings seemed to be tied into it. For me, it's just not possible to sing a song like this with artistic or musical commitment without making the emotional commitment, as well.

I was never drawn to this song before I learned it, but there is something about actually singing it that sort of made me a convert.

Thanks so much for your thoughts and comments, Fred!

Hi Kerbie,

Oh, thank you for checking this out, Kerbie! I'm glad you thought I did okay with this. I must say that I took this one on with some trepidation, wondering if I could do it justice. So many people have championed this song, that I was a little concerned about how it would come out.

Thanks so much for listening and commenting -- I'm so glad you liked this!

Simply beautiful...you capture it with a real haunting beauty of solace and hope....Your arrangement and the selection of the Martin was perfect.

Hi Glenn. I became enthralled with this song when K.D. Lang sang it at the opening ceremonies of the Vancouver olympics. There's something about the chord progression and the way that the song builds in intensity that draws me in.

Wonderful job here, beautifully sung and played. Great, Glenn!

Hi Larry,

I'm so glad you liked this. Thanks so much for your comments!

I, too, have been drawn to the K.D. Lang version of this song. Everything about the way she performs this song is appealing to me.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, Larry!

Great performance, and from my experience this is not a particularly easy song to sing but you nailed it. You should be very pleased.

Hi Johan,

Thanks so much for listening and commenting. I'm very gratified that you liked this! I do agree, too, that that Martin 000-28VS is a cool looking and very good sounding guitar. The slot head is cool, the stretched, elongated body is cool and looks so old fashioned, the herringbone purfling looks terrific, I think...

Thanks so much, Johan!

I enjoyed that a lot Glenn, great sound from the guitar and what an excellent voice you have

For some reason that I can't see embedded videos anymore on here - it just shows a black square - so unless there is a link I can't see/listen to anything. Any ideas?

Hi Phil,

Thank you for the kind comments about "Hallelujah." I appreciate your taking the time to listen and comment.

Regarding embedded videos here on the AGF, I have no idea what might be going on to interfere with your seeing the video. Here is the YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqEoeEg5EXg

I hope that link works for you. Let me know, please. If it helps to provide the link separately besides embedding the video in the post, I will do that in the future.

Thanks so much Phil!

- Glenn
