Mostly fingerstyle, but strumming something when play with others
I think the advantage of carbon fiber guitar is that you don't need to worry about breaking it or hurting it like wooden guitar. So no matter fingerstyle or flatpick, you can give it your full power

I assumed there would be more finger style guitar players but 75% so far is a bit surprising even to me. As a flat picker I see many new guitars tend to be smaller and seemingly geared to the finger-stylist market. Almost all demos that are posted are finger-style? The numbers seems to support that marketing focus. Or as a flatpicker, I would say, bias! Lol

I'm surprised too. I had never really thought about it before, and I don't know why, but I would've thought the majority would be pick users.

I replied finger style, but like most I also do use a pick, just not nearly as much. Even then, it is mostly strumming and I do an exercise or 2 every other week with flat picking just so I don't go backwards, not that there is far for me to slide there though.

Default I couldn't vote

I play with a flat pick and fingerpicks on my middle and ring fingers.

Not used to being in such a minority! Would ask over in the wood area but I'm sure it's similar.

Jon, I have a ton of CF guitars, and I could use someone to refinish my decks.

Oh, I play about 65% with my fingers.

I used a pick until I was 19, when I nearly cut my right thumb in two in an industrial mishap. Now I can't hold a pick, so I became a fingerpicker. It makes for a very interesting style, other guitarists sit and watch my gyrations with fascination.

I didn't vote, because I play my Emerald X20 both ways. I also find my old Martin D-28 equally happy with fingers or a pick; I guess I'm just used to expecting any guitar I use to be versatile that way.

I'm finding this poll to be really eye opening. Wonder if I can talk JR into a flatpicker support group area?
