I'm having a hard time seeing the bridge pins....do you think she could lower the guitar just a bit? You know...for better lighting.

Jimmy, I don't think that is faux grain. I believe that the fibers are laid up in a unidirectional manner for the tops, essentially giving the look of wood grain. I cannot decide if it looks more like koa or mahogany. Either way, it looks pretty good to me.
