Public affirmations?
some of you may have heard of public affirmation as a way to motivate yourself. Supposedly, if you announce to the world that you're going to do something then it gives you extra incentive to follow through.
My affirmation: I will stop being lazy and only playing half a song before I go on to the next one. I will play through the entire song including the repeats and will not stop just because I reach a difficult section. Feel welcome to add your own affirmation to this thread. It might be interesting to read what others are doing to improve their skills. |

Good idea. Today I will pick a song which presents a trouble spot. I will play in tempo all the way through the song at the speed of my trouble spot. I will isolate that measure and and work on it for 10 minutes. Classic advice that I often don't heed.

As of today, when I play, I will always have the big, round hole facing front.

You've inspired me to try the same thing!
