God is in His heaven and we all want what's His
But power and greed and corruptible seed seem to be all that there is I'm gazing out the window of the St. James Hotel And I know no one can sing the blues like Blind Willie McTell Bob Dylan, Blind Willie McTell |

I suppose that he froze when the wind took your clothes and I guess he just never got warm
But you stand there so nice, in your blizzard of ice, oh please let me come into the storm "One of us cannot be wrong" being the closing track, this is the last stanza of the album, which I think is pretty cool. |

"...out of kindness, I suppose."
Simply because that's the last line of a brilliant song. |

Not the last line of the song, but the last line of the last verse, does that count? Lol

Some more from Gordon Lightfoot:
"Like a toy ship on a mill pond she burned all through the night Then slipped 'neath the waves in the mornin'..." -- Ballad of Yarmouth Castle "For there was a time in this fair land when the railroad did not run when the wild majestic mountains stood alone against the sun Long before the white man and long before the wheel when the green dark forest was too silent to be real when the green dark forest was too silent to be real And many are the dead men too silent... to be real" -- Canadian Railroad Trilogy

My long ago deceased friend, Jim Ringer, on his "Endangered Species" album...
From the song "Still Got That Look" the great last line - "He used to take acid and now he loves god, but he's still got that look in his eye." |

The whole album is rather dark. Great lyrics and visualization though. That last line is quite a curveball.
