Info on thrift store Camelot electric guitar find

My dad found a Made in Japan "Camelot" Stratocaster-style guitar at a thrift store. He's convinced it's from the 60s, but I can't find any info on it.

My dad was drawn to the guitar because of the Guam military base airport tag on its case, which my dad remembered from his time there in the 60s. I have pictures but can't figure out how to upload from my iPad.

I don't know much about electric guitars but it sounds great to me. I've searched online and can't find any information. Hoping someone here might know something.
