Tom is some kind of good. He's been very helpful on this forum and I've benefited from his experience and smarts.

Well, thanks Evan. I try. Mighty nice of you to say.

It's not just the finish, electronics too. Both links are to Dream Guitars webiste. Should be very similar lighting used for the 2 guitars.
The APSE has the LR Baggs Anthem Stage Pro. https://www.dreamguitars.com/shop/ra...l-edition.html The APLE has the Fishman Prefix Premium Blend. You can move the internal mic around. It also has sweepable mids. https://www.dreamguitars.com/shop/ra...d-edition.html I like the gloss better. It is very nice in person. Mind you, gloss finishes tend to show fingerprints more. They are also quieter when you move with them plugged in. No SWISH SWISH sounds of satin. Give and take I guess. They should sound the same I would think. You could phone Dream guitars and ask them about the differences, Al works there (he's the "A" in APSE & APLE). I once phoned them about some guitars and they were very helpful, even though they stopped carrying what I was asking about. Emerald has a 10 day trial period. I would expect you would have to pay shipping at least one way if you return it. Some companies make you pay for there and back if you return it, only fair I guess. |
