NGD Alvarez MD-60
I just picked this up today and must say it is the best acoustic I have owned to date. Although it is used, it is in excellent shape. I do have a question, though. The Alvarez site says it comes with D’Addario EXP's but it doesn't say which gauge. Can anyone fill me in on what is the factory standard for this guitar?
Oh, and here are some pics. |

Nice guitar! I've always like Alvarez guitars. I don't know for sure but a very educated guess would be it came with light gauge (12) strings. Enjoy that beauty.

The Alvarez Masterworks are great instruments. I have the MD65 and it's a wonderful guitar. I think you'll get a lot of enjoyment from it.

Great guitar. I've got the cedar topped version, the MD65. You won't be disappointed.
also I need to know the story behind this.

They come with EXP 16's. 12-53.
Personally, I find them very Dark sounding. The EJ16 is also a good alternative.

Congrats! I love my MD65. The Masterworks line is one of the best import lines--especially in the "bang for your buck" department.
