Morgan Monroe MN-DLX-12 Opinions
I may have an opportunity to trade an electric guitar and amp for on of these 12 strings.
I've always wanted a 12 string, but never had the extra cash to pull the trigger on one. Seems like the trade value is very even. Here is the guitar. http://www.folkofthewood.com/page3379.htm What do you guys think about them? Anyone ever played one? Also... there's conflicting information...one part says solid B&S another says Laminate. Here's a pic of the actual guitar. Thanks!!!

bummer no opinions huh? Usually there's an over abundance of them in these parts.

Was really hoping to get some input on this guitar or at least Morgan Monroe guitars in general. :-(

All of the MM guitars I have played (including the MMV-12 that I own) have been of very poor workmanship. Poorly formed (cheap plastic) nuts, square braces (rectangular actually), braces not sanded, glue drips inside, etc. Maybe it is just the ones I've played.
They are cheap... and if the ones I've played are representative, with good reason. Fwiw, I have never played that model. Ed |

MM M-00-TBV "Blues 32"
I owned a Morgan Monroe M-00-TBV "Blues 32" for a while. It was a decent guitar and certainly worth the $150 I paid for it but I sold it in a GASeous moment. I had no issues with the guitar. I have inspected and played a few other MMs and they seemed okay also.
However, I find the Recording King guitars to be a better choice for me. Morgan Monroe M-00-TBV "Blues 32" |

Haven't played any MM acoustics, but I do have a Morgan Monroe PRS clone.
It's a nice guitar - plays great, nice wide, flat PRS-style neck, and lightweight. However, I will be swapping out the pickups soon for something better. The stock humbuckers are the weak link in this Morgan Monroe... |
