A major. The bass line runs down the scale all the way to B and back to A via E.
In fact there's a little run-up from B to E in 8th notes: B-C#-D-E.

With chords:
Code:
Chords:|A - - - |A - - - |D - - - |Bm7 - E9 - |
  Bass:|A - G# -|F# - E -|D - C# -|B C# D E - |
The bass line is played on the bass, not (necessarily) on the guitar, and it might be tricky (as a newbie!) to incorporate that line along with the chords. Try this:
Code:
-0---0--|-0---0--|-2---2--|--------2--|-----------------------
-2---2--|-2---2--|-3---3--|--------3--|-----------------------
-2---2--|-2---2--|-2---2--|--------1--|------------------------
-2---2--|-2---2--|-0---x--|----0-2----|------------------------
-0---x--|-x---2--|-x---4--|2-4--------|------------------------
-----4--|-2---0--|-x------|-----------|--------------------
I'd play the A with an index barre (maybe muting the top E), then use pinky and thumb for the bass notes on 6th string. Then pinky for the C# under the D chord.

That last chord is E9, but you could make that a plain E or E7 if you want. Or just play these two chords in the last bar:
Bm7 E9
-2---2--
-0---0--
-2---1--
-0---0--
-2---2--
-x---0--
