Default GSM pick guard

Anybody remove the pick guard of your Mini. I've been thinking of having it removed. What should I expect to pay a shop to have it removed?

It is easy to remove yourself. Check a few youtube vids for instruction.

I removed mine and I like the look much better. I had a tan line where the pick guard used to be but it has evened up pretty much totally over time.

Did you use naphtha or heat?

Heat. But I heard that using dental floss works even better.

For Taylors, I just use a soft pick and patience. I clean the residue with naphtha.

For others, I use naphtha, a soft pick, and patience. Taylors use lighter strength adhesive than imported brands, namely Yamaha.

I personally do not use heat.

I have heard of using floss. But, no heat or anything else, do you just glide the floss back and forth, just like flossing your teeth?

As someone who is also considering removing the pick guard to their long awaited GS mini, I watched a couple instruction videos. The best one I saw was a man who removed his Hog top guard using a blow dryer and a credit card. If I end up making the decision to remove mine, that's what I would do.
