If you're right handed it must be. Still waiting for the J35 to come out the wrong way round so I don't hold out much hope here.
Come on Gibson - step up to the mark and embrace us lefty's wholeheartedly! |

If list price is $1,500, what do you think the street price will be in the US?

$1499 is the street price, AFAIK.

I just assumed that Gibsons were generally bought for less than list...similar to factory Martins and Taylors. |

I played one for about 2 minutes. It was heavy, projected well, had good note separation and maybe had a toe on the "bright" spectrum. Sort of a poor man's J-200?
Take all of that for what it's worth though, as the guitar I played just before it --a 1958 D-18 -- may have ruined me for anything else. |

Many luthiers and small shops use this kind of neck because of the way you can orient the grain with two separate pieces of wood. They claim it can help make a stronger neck that is more resistant to warping. |

I got my name on the mailing list at GC. When they get a shipment. When I asked when they expected one he said...."You know what NAMM means....Not April Maybe May". First time I heard that one. Made me smile.

In terms of its glue joint, the J15's neck has more in common with a two piece back than it does with a piece of plywood/HPL. |

I'd much rather have this style neck than one with scarf joint and heel stack.
