I've been carrying picks for 20 years easy, it's a ritual in the morning....wallet,keys,picks. I always could use my fingers to play but the habit started out of playing and then having to go tend to something else and putting it in my pocket. My wife has found over 100 picks in washer i bet throughout the years. Funny thread

Pocket tuner, even more valuable if unexpectedly presented with a strange guitar.

I'm kinda OK without a pick now, I used to never play without one, but my bare finger picking has improved,
still a bit crap at tuning without some electronic help !

The habit comes and goes. I've discovered that I keep a pick too long when it is my pocket pick and they end up rounded off and oddly shaped. I've ended up buying picks in bulk and pouring a small handful into each neck box so I'm never far from one.

I had Clayton make me some imprinted picks a few years ago. I happen to have one with me and pulled it out with some change. The girl at the coffee shop immediately asked about it and started a conversation. Since then, I usually carry a couple with me and give them away to anyone who asks about them.

If you are in your 20's or 30's I highly recommend carrying a couple. Too late in life I found that attractive baristas often express interest.

Yes. I have one stashed in my wallet -- doesn't take up much space and you never know.

Yes, I do. But I have quit carrying Blue Chips after one too many forty-dollar mishaps.

I am too old for it to do me any good in that fashion. But you have given me an idea: I'll start getting them made with the title of whatever my latest book is embossed on them.

Sometimes I'll be shopping or driving and I'll have a thumb pick on. Usually when I'm in the zone and nothing but the song matters.

Yes, since I was 17. 3 picks in the little pocket on my Levis. Can't tell you how many times it has come in handy.

Yep. I keep a thumb pick with me and much of the time it finds its way onto my thumb.
