Guild f45ce

I recently purchased what I believe is a 1982 f45ce with mahogany body and spruce top I didnt like the quitar at first but now after a little neck work I have grown to appreciate it.The problem is the pre amp died so now I have had the pickup connected to the connector out the back which is ok but I no volume or tone control.Does anybody know where I could get a new preamp like the original?

The neck is wonderful and the sound is more like jazz acoustic. I did read somewhere that the s/n's started at 00006. I think they have it wrong because my instrument is 00004. It is a well made guitar and it has taken a lot of use and abuse. Just surface cracks. I didn't want to change the look by adding a plastic pick guard so I cut a pick guard out of the clear plastic laminate that they use for photo's and licenses. You can hardly see that the pick guard is attached. If you know of any current acoustic/electric built with an electric guitar neck..please let me know.

Just bought another made in 84. GB100481.
