Parlor guitar with Andy's new fan bracing pattern. First released as builders reserve. Will have huge sound from small body.

Book it. ,-)

Taylor Advanced Performance Bracing already has slanted bracing exactly like this on the back of the guitar. Pretty sure the video is just hinting at "bracing" in general, not showing us the actual new bracing.

There is no possibility that Taylor would call a Parlor the greatest innovation. Lol. I already asked my wife if I can get one and I don't even know what it is!

As long as they can get rid of that quackiness I hear,

Not the Parlor, the bracing result from small body to start the switch to GC next.

Default Taylor teases new innovation

Calling a new form of bracing on a guitar “innovation” is like adding two more wheels to an 18-wheeler and calling it “innovated”. I mean, overall, it’s still bracing, don’t you think?

My random guesses
1. Taylor acquires another company or technology
2. Wireless pickup with app that has eq/recording/etc. - no cord required
3. New bracing pattern (as mentioned in patent)
4. New Grand Chamber model - 00 size (14-14 1/2 lower bout)
5. New Grand Parlor model
6. Taylor amplifier that has the best of tube (electric) and acoustic. [I have long wondered why Rivera is the only company that has done this]

After reading the patent section I would think that this is pretty big stuff, and crux of the big reveal.

Whether or not it audibly translates into a tonal change is another story.

I have long held the opinion that the importance placed on sustain is way more than it deserves.

I agree with your take. However, Andy is supposedly trying to increase sustain and amplitude with this bracing pattern. Who knows if it will work, but they will sell a lot of them, I predict.

V- bracing... the videos are pretty interesting. The intonation sounds spot on and I don't often hear that in an acoustic.

I'm interested.

The “news” from Taylor here at NAMM is indeed the V-Class Bracing. Andy’s newest Taylor series of guitars. Designed to provide more volume and sustain. I’ve been at Taylor’s room a few times now to see friend’s playing in their venue but I haven’t played one of the V-Class guitars as it is like a Guitar Center on the Saturday before Christmas- absolute din. You can’t hear one even if you’re playing it. If there is a bit of quiet time this weekend, maybe on Sunday before the show wraps I’ll get a minute to play a couple.
