This is the greatest post in the known universe.

Somehow when I read that it I can almost hear Donovan speaking it during "Atlantis."

FYI I have a '64 Martin 00-21 that someone had put double pickguards on decades ago. It was muffled and sounded like it was full of old dirty socks. Once taken off it had a much clearer voice. Still does...

OMMV
That's funny! Usually when someone starts a new thread on some topic already covered, people complain, say they should use the search. You just can't please some people.

Some people are easily mystified. Lol!

I have seen it on a few old gibsons (B25?) and I thought it looked cool on those. However, putting it on a newer guitar just wouldn't look right.

But...as so many have said, "Go ahead, it's your guitar!" Just don't plan on selling it!

Tell me what topic hasn't been covered at least once. Besides, the posters who resurrected this thread probably did use search...

Besides, I did not say anything about not posting a question. I just said "why not start your own thread?"

My late father in law played a 1980s Shenandoah. He bought a right handed guitar and had it setup left handed. I think it looked good on him...

Sounds like a challenge...
“Help! My tuning keys are too slick!”
“Removing unwanted frets above 14...”
“Will cello strings turn my D41 into an acoustic bass?”
“Help me pick out pants to wear during a string change”

Feel free to add....

Flamenco players have been using clear double pick guards for a long time. Doesn't detract from the music. I am all for clear pick guards but I defend anyone's right to have whatever pick guards they want on their guitars no matter how ugly I might find them.

Best,
Jayne

Double pickguards always remind me of Elvis Presley's leather Martin cover.

If you play good enough, nobody will care what you stick on your guitar.
