first fret buzz is baffling me.help?
Have you tried to play the Guitar with a capo on the first fret? If it doesn't buzz when you have the capo the first fret it is more then likely the nut! You can loosen the strings and get some super glue or ca glue, then get the same Material as your nut and sand it till you get a enough dust and mix it with the glue. When it dries you can file the nut to the correct size of the gauge strings you have! It could be a number of things you just have to keep ruling things out. Hope you sort it out! Dean

If it is buzzing when fretting at the first fret, it could be too little neck relief (this would suggest that 2nd, 3rd, 4th frets etc would have slight buzzing) or the 1st fret is too low.
