Bob - Very well arranged, performed and mixed!
One of my favorites from Tea and The Tillerman.

This has to be one of my all time favourite songs. The first time I heard it I was 12 years old and it had quite an impact on me. Simple but profound - with some ambiguously Christian lyrics that connected with me.

I play around with the melody on occasion and will probably use it in an arrangement of variations one of these days.

Anyway, nice job Bob!

Thank you, Bill! Many of his songs are rooted in religious themes and concepts...I think that is what attracted me to his early albums. I'll be listening for that melody to show up in your work in the future!!

Very beautiful Bob and Deb. I think this one was a tad before my time but old Cat sure could write simple beautiful songs. I always love the way your voices meld, but the way you put the extra layer of harmonies at 1:45 was STUNNING!!

A lovely version of one of my favourite Cat Stevens songs...the echo later on in the song is really effective!

Ya know Bob I've commented many times here how Cat was early influence for me and his sense of timing is part of his unique signature and really taught me right hand nuggets as well as magnetic melodies...and you my friend capture the authenticity of that timing, melody, and the flavor of that period tone. The guitars especially sound perfect in this. I am so impressed with ya'lls rendition of this wonderful song. This is really good and among my favs of your incredible set list. Gosh I'd love to sit in with you guyz!

Hello, Steve!

I just realized that this song must be really old to some folks and predate their popular music experience! I think it might date back to the early 1970s. Even so, I'm glad you liked it!

IMHO, the songs of the 60s and 70s will be bench marks for popular music for decades to come; not because they were that great musically rather, because they spoke to and, were cherished by so many music fans and musicians alike. The lyrics of those songs express the feelings and experiences of many of us at one time or another in our lives so, we can easily relate to and identify with them. I know it might sound sappy but, those songs comprise the music of my life so, I will always play and sing them. Thanks again for listening and your kind comments, Steve.

Very nice. One thing I would say to the female harmony singer....
Harmony singing is supposed to be flat, no vibrato, very little if any reverb. It should not stand out. It is supposed to support the main vocal, not compete with it.
That said, the harmony was spot on.
Good job.
