Default Red eye - should I keep my Aura Spectrum

OK, so I got sick of reading how good the Red Eye pre was and ordered one. OK, so it really is. So far I've only tried it on my D-28, but the plug and play suits my inability to tweak a bunch of knobs to the point where I'm still satisfied the next day - and I love the sound. I play it through a Carvin 300, which seems to have all the adjustments I require.

So the question is: should I keep the almost new Aura Spectrum? It's never been out of the house and I'm sure I could easily get a couple hundred bucks for it. While I'm not desperate for the money, I'm sure I could find something to spend it on.

What do you think?

I don't know if I can answer your question but I'll ask this. Should I keep my Baggs Venue and Session? The answer so far is yes. I don't know when or if I get into a situation where I will need those tools. They have some different features that the red eye doesn't do.

Welcome to the red eye club. I am a recent owner and I appreciate what it does.

Only you can answer that but after i got my Redeye I kept my Aura Spectrum DI for a few months and after I was sure I didn't want to use it I sold it and invested the money elsewhere

I don't use my Redeye when I play through my AG300. Selecting the Hi-Z option gives me a nice clean sound for all my piezo equipped instruments thru the Carvin. I only use my Redeye if I'm playing thru a PA. In all cases I try for the shortest, least complicated signal chain I can.
