Playing guitar is not only fun, it's healthy as well...
It's full brain exercise... musicians have more active brain.
Now that's a motivator.

Not to soapbox, but...
Think of how beneficial a music education is to a child...it's already been proven that children who learn an instrument do better in math... But in the U.S. we do standardized testing. No money for music programs anymore.
