Post Playing guitar is not only fun, it's healthy as well...

It's full brain exercise... musicians have more active brain.
Now that's a motivator.

The mental benefits are a no-brainer (whoops! )

Physically, just watch out for RSI and carpal tunnel...

Brain activity helps reduce risk of alzheimer so which one you prefer?
Carpal tunnel, tennis elbow or alzheimer?

Not to soapbox, but...

Think of how beneficial a music education is to a child...it's already been proven that children who learn an instrument do better in math...

But in the U.S. we do standardized testing. No money for music programs anymore.
