Default A question for our Canadian members, particularly those from Toronto

My wife is attending a conference in Toronto from Tuesday of next week for a few days. We live in Miami where the heat borders on the obscene. Is she going to find it cold there? What kind of clothing will she need?

I'm not in Toronto, but I live about 200 miles straight west as the crow flies. I can tell you that's it's been getting down into the 35-45 range at night lately. The 10 day forecast for here for next week is showing unseasonably warm and sunny (what we call Indian Summer up here) so she may get lucky.

I live in Canada, about 400kms (250mi) east of Toronto. For the period your wife will be in T.O., the averages should be...
Avg high:16C (60F)
Avg low: 8C (46F)
It's good to have a light jacket (parka for a woman ) during the day, and a sweater and jacket, or a coat for the evening/night.

Thanks a lot, guys. Sounds as if she's going to be okay as long as she packs a few sweaters, a coat, some good shoes, and something to keep her legs warm, especially for the evenings.

... and if she'd like to bring you back a little something from her travel, you might suggest this place (tee hee...):

I'm about 100 kms. west of Toronto and it's shaping up to be a gorgeous first nations summer in southern Ontario. Hopefully, she'll have time for some r&r.
