Default FG110 Yamaha

I am on the hunt for a FG110 Yamaha/1773-1774. Had one back then and want to put it back in my collection of guitars. It was a excellent beginner guitar.

Also, a AF255 Aria Acoustic. Solid Maple really gawdy Jumbo Country Style body.

1773 - 1774?

Maybe he wants to do some British Invasion music?

They/it will probably neck the neck reset. This model can be particularly problematic, in that the heel of the neck likes to delaminate, when steamed.
Good candidate for for a sawn-off reset, if needed.

Default Yamaha FG 110

Hello to everybody here ...glad I found this...Have a question I hope someone out there can help with . I have a Red Label Yamaha Fg 110... serial # 1623279 I think it means it was made in 1971 ? but not sure...it is in sweet condition ...got it years ago from a very cool guy who went electric and said it sat in it's case for maybe 20 years. It goes along nice with my FG 335II and FG 345II and Fg 400....I've looked at new Martins that dont sound as good as my old Yamahas !!! LOVE EM...Help me out if you know about serial #'s ....THANKS

Hi - I have a green label MIJ FG-75 that has the same 7-digit serial number and have never been able to determined the exact year of manufacture. Since yours is a red label, I can only assume it's made between '69-'71, as Yamaha started using the green label in '72.

There's a really nice cheat sheet for all the Yamaha serial # here: http://vintageguitarpro.com/serialyamaha.shtml. But of course, it doesn't have the 7-digit one in the list.

Good luck.
