People who don't know any better think that the AGF is just a guitar forum. It's that, of course, and the best one ever, but it's so much more. Hang out here as long as you have, Phil, and you learn that this is a community of friends. Your friends are pulling for you, wishing you the best, and in my case, praying that your procedures and recovery will be smooth and uncomplicated. Thanks for being transparent enough to let us care for you in this way. Blessings, my friend!

Any good thoughts, prayers, mojo, or spells for getting rid of kidney-grapes would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Best of luck to you flaggerphil!

i'm enjoying the visual of 'little teeny tiny jackhammers' at work on the 'kidney-grapes'.

I have had two small ones and the agony of passing them was very high.

I assume they are going to remove them. Otherwise it would be the equivalent of giving birth to a large watermelon.

Hang on to them and have them encased in Lucite. Make a paperweight out of them. I have a good friend who has a portion of a porn stars anatomy encased in Lucite. PM me and I will tell you who and what part.

I have two of the 4 pacemakers that have been in my chest. Number 4 is still in use and has 7 years 7 months of battery left according to my cardiology nurse. Number 3 was sent back to the manufacturer after it was replaced. The check them out. Then it was returned to me and the manufacturer, Medtronics, actually had my name engraved on the metal case.

And I thought that mine were big. A few years ago I had two stones at the same time. One was 11 mm and the other was 10 mm. They made their extremely painful appearance two days before a 1500 mile vacation road trip through Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and South Dakota. My doc put in a stint to keep them from moving down any more and off we went on our vacation. All went fine except for my nervousness about being a couple of hundred miles from the nearest hospital at any given time. Ten days after we took off for our vacation the lithotripsy machine broke them up into passable sizes and all was well with the world again in no time.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Hey Phil,

Thoughts are with you today. I'm recovering from recent surgery myself. It ain't no fun, but the results are worth it. Be well.

Wow! I didn't know they could get that big.

I had some much smaller ones removed years ago and it wasn't too bad. The worst part was the first few times I urinated, and then when they removed the stent after a few days.

Not fun, but it was a piece of cake compared to the pain of having a stone stuck in my urethra.
