Yes, indeed, that was one of my favorites at the festival.

Here's some videos of three of John's guitars I have in stock. (Can anyone tell me how to embed them instead of linking them?)

Awesome Circa, Michael. What are the specs? What do you think of the sound and playability.

German/Mahogany. Sound and playability are as good as it gets IMO. I've not played an OM - vintage or modern - that is better.

I bought a 2007 or so 00 from John at Woodstock last year. He was selling it for a past client who is no longer playing guitar. It is amazing. Coco/ Adi slot head in immaculate condition. But the tone is why I got it. Strong trebles and mids, and unusual deep strong lows too. But with all that, a sweetness that can't be described. Also great sustain, and that tone you hear with some guitars where the tone continues to resonate in waves on and on. Anyway, I love John's work. It is awesome.

I first played a Circa at Schoenbergs' awhile ago. Wish I could of bought it on the spot. Not only beautifully made, but what a lush sound. I don't think it lasted too long.

Just got home from The Swannanoa Gathering. I got to play a new 7/8 dreadnought that John made for Steve Baughman. 12 fret neck joint, Brazilian back and sides, Euro Spruce top. The guitar was less than a week old and it sounded great. Sorry, I did not take any pictures.

Anyone played one as early as 2001? I know that was shortly after he left borges , see Dream Guitars has a beautiful sunburst for a good price from that year.

I have #09, a slope dread, atomic Engelmann/Cocobolo, and it's a great guitar that excels when flat picked or played finger style. John has been a great builder since the first Circas (and most likely before that) in my opinion.

Can I add my recent acquisition? I've just picked up a one year old Circa OM (Adi on EIR). I am so thrilled with it! I had to let go of a beautiful Dave King Alpine/Braz parlour guitar in order to by the Circa, but I'm completely bowled over by this OM.
