Default Kathmandu...

I think this is the furthest abroad I've made it. I haven't checked an atlas to see the mileage, it's possible that Australia is further, but recently we've shipped to Australia, Oman, and Nepal. Kinda neat how the modern world works...

You know you can deliver them and write off the trip?

Great location (the door, and the city) and great guitar...what is that top wood?

It's a mahogany back/sides/top 000.

I gotta say, the padlock is a turnoff. Modern life...

Thanks Ed, I did not notice the lock as I was so impressed at the 'newness' of the door itself. When I visited Kathmandu years ago all the good carving looked a couple of hundred years old. Looks like local craftsman are still doing it.

And that mahogany looks really good. Happy for you to post more photos (hint hint!)

I carried a travel guitar I made all the way to Everest base camp!

If there's one bright spot in the recent tragedy of the earthquake in Nepal, it's that the wood and stone craftsmen are still plying their trades, and they have the ability to rebuild. Still, it's heartbreaking to see all the treasures that were lost.

Very cool pic.

Simply appointed guitars look really good in all-mahogany flavour.
