Default Cubs win wild card!!!!

Finally--I have something else to bite my nails over besides my own health: CUBS IN THE PLAYOFFS!!!

Such a sweet distraction, albeit nerve-wracking!

Good game, but being in Pittsburgh my feelings on the outcome are much different. Two years in a row of one and done. It sucks, but that's the game. Good luck against the Cardinals.

For years Brewers fans have been able to say, "At least we're better than the Cubs". Now we don't even have that.

The Cardinals will be tough. I wouldn't mind seeing the Cubs beat them.

As a lifelong Pirates fan I say congrats. I won't even mention the play that produced the one satisfying moment I had during the game.

The Epstein years in Boston were good. Here's hoping the Cubs get the same.

I still have a picture taken at Wrigley of my brother and I in 1957. I still wait for the day they will enter the world series. The Sox did it, which elated my brother to no end but my day along with many others still wait.

Yes, it would be great to see it happen....for me, just to beat St. Louis, would be a great victory.............sorry St.Louis fans, I could care less about you guys getting into another World Series.

The only thing though, is that if the Cubs actually do it, will Hell freeze over?

The wild card game began last night at 7:08 pm CDT. In military time, that’s 19:08. When was the last time the Cubs won the World Series? 1908. Coincidence? I think..........................probably.

If I were a Pirates fan I'd be steaming. 2 straight years they're knocked out of the postseason because MLB decided to let a 5th team into the dance. A complete contrivance cooked up by some marketing firm.

I for one am steaming but this is Sandy's thread so I'll be nice.

By the way, Pirates 1B Rodriguez officially apologized to the Gatorade cooler he pummeled in the dugout after the bench clearing scrum. Said Cooler is said to have forgiven him. See? We can all grow and get along!😜

You know we want it when an attorney resorts to numerology for guidance...
